Amy Hart has opened up on how it feels to have moved out of her family home for the very first time.

The former Love Islander took the plunge and left the comfort of her parents' place to live with her best pal Luke in a gorgeous house with light wooden flooring and open spaces.

The 28 year old, who recently said she and ex Curtis Pritchard "check up on each other" as they've moved on since their split, spoke exclusively to OK! Online about the milestone as she promoted Buzz Bingo.

"I moved last Thursday, and I was really sad when I went into my bedroom at my parent’s house and it was all empty," she explained.

The blonde beauty continued: "I thought, 'Oh god this is it now'. I've never moved out before and whenever I've gone away, I've always known I’d be coming back to there."

Reminiscing over spending nearly three decades living with her parents, she went on: "The fact that my childhood is now over at the age of 28 is quite sad but you know, you've got to grow up at some point."

Despite feeling slightly blue about the event, Amy confessed that she feels free to "make a mess" in the kitchen now and even describes herself as a good cook.

"The thing that I'm probably enjoying the most is cooking, and I never really enjoyed it before," she said. "I think that was because my mum used to follow me around being like, ‘You make so much mess,’ whereas now I can make as much mess as I want because I have to clean it up."

Amy, who recently spoke out on "brave" friend Yewande Biala and her feud with Lucie Donlan, added: "I’d love to do Master Chef or something. I’m actually quite a good cook."

It comes as the reality star recently celebrated the move with a huge pop-up igloo and a private chef. Amy gave a glimpse into the ultimate dining experience for her “leaving home meal” and shared a clip to her 1.1million Instagram followers of the beautifully-styled pod for five guests.

Taking a look at the accessories, a mirrored gold drinks trolley could be seen with an ice bucket and bottle of Champagne along with a sign that read: “Congrats Amy”.

The focal point of the pod was the gorgeous long table which had been styled with a rich bronze runner and eucalyptus to add a natural feel to the decorations.
