In a distressing video, the ‘Eternals’ star looks tense but calm as she’s forced to head to a shelter when an alarm warning of a bomb threat goes off during her visit to the country.
AceShowbiz –Angelina Jolie already knew what she’s coming for when she booked a trip to Ukraine. The Hollywood actress has faced an alarming situation during her visit to the war-torn country.
In a distressing video which has gone viral, the 46-year-old was forced to take cover when air raid sirens went off in the city of Lviv. The “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil” star was seen among a terrified crowd rushing out of a building, down a long stairway and out to an open location hundreds of feet away from where she began the flight to find refugee.
There seemed to be unspoken tension in the air as a female acquaintance of Angelina was heard telling someone who filmed the actress during the flee, “Please, no more.” However, the mother of six managed to remain calm.
At one point in the video, Angie was even seen waving to the camera and posing for a picture with a fan. When someone asked the Lara Croft in “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider“, “Are you afraid?” she assuringly replied, “No, no. I’m okay,” before the video ended.
The alarming situation reportedly occurred shortly after Angelina was spotted by a group of Ukrainian fans while waiting in line to place an order at a small coffee. She also joined a bustling crowd of people at the central railway station to visit Ukrainian evacuees, according to the Kyiv Independent.
Meanwhile, Lviv governor Maksym Kozytskyy detailed the actress’ visit to the country in a Facebook post. Along with pictures of the “Unbroken” director with children who were injured in the war, he wrote, “Hollywood actress and lady ambassador of good will UN Angelina Jolie visited Lviv region. She visited children who were injured by the Russian military’s missile strike at the station in Kramatorsk. She was deeply moved by their stories. One girl was even able to tell Ms. Jolie about her dream privately.”
The governor added, “Also Mrs. Ambassador visited the boarding school. [She] talked and photographed with the pupils. Promised more to come. [Angelina] took the time to talk to our volunteers who provide medical and psychological assistance at the Lviv Main Railway Station. Thanked them for their hard work.
