Ashley Cains grandmother dies as he asks her to look after my little angel in heaven

Nov 14, 2021

Ashley Cain has asked his grandmother to “look after my little angel in heaven” after she sadly passed away this week.

The 31 year old broke the devastating news to his followers on Instagram Sunday, November 14 as he posted a photograph of his beloved grandmother holding his baby daughter Azaylia.

This blow comes as Ashley was away travelling on work commitments and six months after his daughter Azaylia died after her courageous battle with a rare form of leukaemia.

“While I was away, I got the devastating news that my Grandma had sadly passed away and joined the angels in paradise,” he captioned.

“Grandma Cain you created a great, strong, successful and respectful family from nothing but hard work, tough love and good blood. You will be missed forever by us all.

“Please now look after my little angel in heaven as I know she will be excited to see you again!”

Ashley seemed reassured at the thought of his late daughter being reunited with his grandmother once again as he expressed in his touching tribute.

The TV personality has shown on social media these past few months that he has had the utmost support from his family, both during Azaylia’s fight against leukemia and after her passing.

The public have also helped the star a great deal by raising an impressive £1.6 million for her treatment.

Ashley, with his partner, Safiyya Vorajee, set up The Azaylia Foundation after their daughter died in her honour, offering support to families with children that have cancer and fundraising for treatments not necessarily accessible by the NHS.

Now, Ashley is concentrating on his charity above everything else, informing his 1.8 million followers how successful it has been so far in a recent Instagram post.

“My life is now about travelling the world and doing good things for great people,” Ashley captioned a photo of him wearing a backpack four days ago.

The star continued: “While being away working and building great relationships for the future, I’m proud of what we at @theazayliafoundation have achieved back home.

“We donated funds to 7 year old Alexander which will go towards his treatment in the UK and Germany battling brain and spinal tumours.

“We donated to Birmingham children’s hospital to purchase an innovative piece of equipment which enables augmented reality surgery and in the future, has potential to revolutionise surgical care for children with cancer."

He added: "We donated to the University of Birmingham to fund the purchase of a cell sorter machine which helps provide detailed studies of how cancer cells respond to different treatments, as well as helping them in design and production of exciting new potential immune therapies.”

Despite going through such a tough time personally, Ashley’s efforts in spotlighting children fighting cancer has brought about many financial and community achievements towards helping them, which he stated he is “proud of”.
