Danny and his partner became parents in April this year, with Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard confirming the happy news at the time.

The sports star missed a game with his team against Wolverhampton Wanderers, prompting fans to wonder why he was not included in the team.

Steven said said: ‘Danny Ings, I’m sure he won’t mind me saying, has become a dad overnight.

‘He’s had very little sleep, he had to go down to London.

‘We want to send our congratulations to Danny and his partner.

‘It didn’t make sense to ask him to come and be part of today, so that was forced on us.’

Start of the next chapter: Sportsman Danny’s partner, whose identity is not known, could be seen smiling as he walked across the sand, with the soccer player and his wife wearing outfits in a matching colour

While the identity of Danny’s new wife is unknown, he previously dated Australian model Georgia Gibbs.

In 2018, Danny split from Georgia after two years and began dating Brit beauty Ruby Ruby Blake, who once dated Love Island’s Kem Cetinay.

Danny was joined in Barbados by his Aston Villa teammate Tyrone Mings, who showed off his fit physique as he stripped down to his swimwear for a beach stroll with a mystery female friend on Thursday.

The footballer, 29, missed out on a place in the England squad for the FIFA World Cup competition in Qatar, which starts on Sunday.

An army of WAGs will be accompanying them to Qatar, although they will be staying on a £1billion cruise liner off the coast with their husbands not allowed on board.

The team, which includes wonderkids Jude Bellingham, Phil Foden and Bukayo Saka, are set to form their own strict Covid bubble at the Souq Al Wakra hotel in Doha.

Harry Kane tweeted: ‘So proud to be captaining my country at a World Cup for the second time. I know this group of lads will give absolutely everything to go all the way. Let’s go!’

Gareth has largely stuck with the tried and tested, with the most eye-catching selections being Leicester attacking midfielder James Maddison and Newcastle striker Callum Wilson.

Asked if his squad contained everything necessary to win a World Cup, Gareth told a press conference: ‘We’ve wanted to make sure the balance of the squad is right. I think the squad is more important than ever.

‘With five substitutes you can have almost half the team changed during the game so you want different options for different moments of matches and stages at the tournament as well.

Risks: He added: ‘We’ve had to cover a couple of players that aren’t yet fully fit, so having 26 available meant we were probably able to take a couple of risks’

Ready to fight for the cup: ‘We think the balance is there and we’ve got cover in the positions we need’
