Brooklyn Beckham celebrates Hannukah in cosy family pics with Nicola Peltz

Dec 22, 2022

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz looked cosy as they celebrated Hannukah at the Peltz family home on Wednesday night.

The actress, 27, shared a sweet snap of the occasion to her Instagram in which she was leaning into her husband, 23, and resting her head on his chest, while he placed a hand on her hip.

The couple were sat with pal John-David Elalouf, who shared the snap to his own Instagram page, captioning it: "Happy Hannukah."

Nicola donned a black button-up top for the evening and dark trousers, while Brooklyn sported a red striped jumper and accessorised with a small pearl necklace.

Nicola was raised in the Jewish faith. Her father, billionaire investment fund manager Nelson Peltz, 79, strictly follows the religion and splashed out on over $1million for his twin sons’ bar mitzvahs six years ago.

While Brooklyn’s great-grandfather was Jewish, however his footballer dad David Beckham said in 2016 that his family had not been brought up with the religion.

“My grandfather was Jewish, that was on my mother's side, so yes, I do see myself… I was never brought up Jewish, but like I said, my grandfather was, and every time we went to synagogue I was part of that,” David said in a Q&A.

Prior to their wedding Brooklyn and Nicola opened up about their plans to have a Jewish ceremony, and in a video released by Vogue shared that they’d had their hearts set on having a Jewish wedding since they became engaged back in 2020.

The Valentine’s Day clip, saw Brooklyn show off his cooking skills while he and Nicola discussed the wedding plans.

“Full wedding prep mode and it's a lot of fun,” Brooklyn said. “It's strange, because the more wedding meetings that we have, the more real it feels. Like it still kind of feels fake, in a way. I'm excited. I'm wearing a Yarmulke.”

"Yes, Jewish wedding,” Nicola added.

An insider told The Mirror back in 2020, that Brooklyn's father was among those keen to incorporate part of their Jewish heritage into his son's wedding ceremony.

“[David]’s keen to add as many Jewish elements as possible, recalling how much he loved Israeli dancing when he attended Jewish weddings as a child with his grandad,” they said.

“He’s also told Brooklyn how much he’d like to recite one of the Hebrew blessings at the ceremony.”
