In a recent Instagram live, the Channel 4 presenter revealed she had received a fair few messages from people asking why she hadn’t isolated for the full 10 days following her return to the UK.

“I recently came back from Fuerteventura and I isolated for five days,” she told her 116,000 followers.

“After the fifth day in isolation, I went for a Covid test myself and my children and we got our results to tell us that we’re negative and we can come out of isolation.”

She added: “A few people actually questioned me and said, ‘Why are you not isolating for 10-days as you’re supposed to.’

“‘Are you exempt because you are on TV?'”

But Laura insisted “nobody’s exempt” from the rules.

“Of course I did the isolation I was supposed to do,” she explained.
