Laura Whitmore had some brilliantly sassy responses for trolls who criticised the star for sharing photos of her baby bump.

The Love Island star announced last week that she is expecting her first child with Iain Stirling, just hours after reports claimed they had secretly married.

Since then, Laura has shared snaps of her baby bump from a photo shoot with Hunger magazine but it’s somehow annoyed a few of her Instagram followers.

‘You were literally saying two minutes ago, that you weren’t promoting your pregnancy. Literally bored of it already,’ one complained.

Laura, 35, hit back: ‘Looks more like I’m ‘promoting’ my upcoming sofa use…’

The TV presenter added to another troll: ‘Oh dear Kerry – a post promoting sitting on your sofa ha ha! Sorry I know you’re a troll but that made me laugh out loud! I hoped you had enough intelligence to get a bit of humour. I was wrong.’

She then clapped back at another: ‘I think we may have different taste Paula. And I’m ok with that. Zoomed in filtered selfies not my thing even though you seem to enjoy xx.’

Sharing a link to her interview and pregnancy photo shoot, Laura explained that she wanted to share the lovely news on her own terms as it became increasingly difficult to keep her bump concealed.

‘I’ve spent almost 6 months hiding or being conscious of my body (well to be honest I’ve spent over 30 years doing this). But in particular as my body changed I have felt very protective of my baby bump,’ she wrote in the Instagram post.

The TV star continued: ‘I’ve seen all sorts of comments “oh Laura’s had a boob job” “her legs are too skinny” “has she put on weight?” “she needs to eat more cake!” I want to say a massive thank you to Ryan and everyone at @hungermagazine for giving me the space to talk about my pregnancy on my terms and in my words. And the legend 📸 @clairerothstein for showing my bump in such an empowering way and making me feel like a f***ing QUEEN!’

She added in her earlier announcement: ‘So I’ve always tried to be protective over the personal side of my life. A lot of things are just for me and my loved ones and we’ve chosen not to share publicly. However I want to now share good news as it’s our news to share.’

Laura and Iain, 31, are reported to have tied the knot in a small ceremony in Dublin last month. The couple began dating in 2017 and began working together on Love Island in January when Laura became the new host.
