Linda Lusardi’s husband Sam Kane has updated friends and fans on her condition amid her coronavirus battle, saying that he believes she’s ‘beaten’ the virus.

It’s definitely a welcome update.

Sam explained that Linda ‘still has a long way to go’ but she’s making progress in her recovery after she was hospitalised for the virus.

Opening up after the UK came together to clap outside their houses for NHS staff, Sam said: ‘What a truly stunning moment that was. Hearing so many people cheering and sending absolute love to the people who are saving so many lives. Right now, was spellbinding [sic].

‘The NHS staff have been and continue to be the heroes in all of this.
My beautiful girl has dropped her oxygen intake today which is amazing news. She’s still got a long way to go but these baby steps are on a roll now.

‘I truly believe she’s beaten the virus now and her body is concentrating on healing itself after the battle. She’s a fighter and she will win this.
Your messages and prayers are incredible.

‘Your support has been so strong and wonderful and I thank each and every one of you from the bottom of my heart.

‘The most enormous Thank You to all of the NHS staff who continue to help get my girl back to health. You’re all angels.

‘To all of our close and dear friends who have sent so much love and support and helped over and above. I love you all. Thank you. I’ll keep you posted. #StaySafe.’

‘Just wanted to say thank you for all your kind words,’ she wrote earlier this month.

‘My @samkane1968 went home from hospital today to carry on recovering. We both tested positive with the virus. I still have a way to go yet The NHS staff have been amazing Their kindness keeps making me cry. Love to you all.’

The UK is currently on lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic, with the death toll in the country now reaching 578.
