Fans of the 1998 movie The Parent Trap have something exciting to look forward to in the near future!

The film’s director Nancy Meyers teased on her Instagram account that she will be sharing some news next week, but she clarified that it’s not going to be a sequel.

Nancy posted a behind-the-scenes photo from set and wrote, “I have some #ParentTrap news to share next week. #ItsGoingToBeFun. (Not a sequel. Sorry!)”

People seem to think the cast might be reuniting and Lindsay Lohan even tweeted out an article that reported the idea.

Lindsay played dual roles in the movie with Dennis Quaid and the late Natasha Richardson as her parents. The movie was a remake of the classic 1961 film.

In a recent interview, Lindsay talked about doing a sequel to another of her fan-favorite movies.
