Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly closing down their office in Buckingham Palace after stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family.
The couple's decision has resulted in approximately 15 job losses, a source has said.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who were recently offered Madonna's apartment in New York City, are said to have broken the news to their team in a face-to-face meeting after making their decision to move to Canada known.
"Given their decision to step back, an office at Buckingham Palace is no longer needed," the insider told Mail Online.

The mole added: "While the details are still being finalised and efforts are being made to redeploy people within the royal household, unfortunately there will be some redundancies."
While some of the staff might be given a new job within the Royal Family, it is believed most of the roles will be made redundant.
The Queen, Prince Charles as well as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are said to have been made aware of the office closure and job losses.
While Meghan, 38, and 35 year old Prince Harry's decision to move abroad is said to have come as a shock to their team, the majority have come to terms with it.
The source continued: "The Duke and Duchess have a small team, less than 15 people. The team are very loyal to the Sussexes and understand and respect the decision they have taken.
"They are all close and supporting each other. The team are busy helping to set their Royal Highnesses up for the future and working on a series of final engagements."

But Harry’s plans may not have been all that alien to his older brother, after all…
As the transition period that Harry and Meghan are in continues and the couple wait for their 'freedom' in Canada, news has emerged that Prince William once plotted a similar escape himself.

It turns out that the Duke of Cambridge had once wanted to move abroad. That’s according to The Scotsman newspaper, who reported that way back in 2003, William seriously considered the idea of moving to America after graduating from the University of St. Andrews.
Journalist Louisa Pearson reported the following: "Having enjoyed a degree of privacy as a student at St Andrews, perhaps it’s not such a surprise that William has announced his intention to spend a few years living in the US after he finishes his degree.
"Work in a gallery or auction house – and the possibility of a postgraduate degree – have apparently been discussed."
