Olivia Colman confessed she ‘can’t remember’ the moment she won an Oscar because she was so drunk.
The 45-year-old won the Academy Award for Best Actress for The Favourite and only remembers everyone ‘getting bladdered’ at the star-studded event.
During an appearance on the Graham Norton Show, the actress said: ‘I actually can’t remember it. The great thing about the Oscars is there is a bar just behind [the auditorium] so everyone is there.
‘There are hundreds of seat fillers so almost everybody is in the bar getting bladdered.’
We would be doing the same thing if we had to sit in the same seat for hours listening to people announce winners.
Olivia just proves time and time again that she is goals when it comes to messing around with friends and family.
Remember when her husband stole toilet paper from Buckingham Palace just because?
The star is also set to appear on the third season of The Crown, taking over the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Claire Foy.
Olivia was apparently made to do period dramas for the rest of time.
She confessed things went south when meeting Prince William.
The Peep Show actress recalled: ‘It didn’t go very well. I met Prince William at a dinner and he asked what I was doing at the moment before he quickly added, “Actually, I know what you’re doing”.
‘I was so excited and asked, “Have you watched it?” His answer was a firm, “No.” But he was very charming and very lovely.’
Thankfully, not all of Olivia’s exchanges with royalty have been quite as uncomfortable, as the national treasure was awarded her CBE from Her Maj’s daughter, Princess Anne, in October.
Beaming as she met the royal, Olivia looked smart in a grey and tartan coat-dress and black fascinator, chatting to Princess Anne as she received her medal.
Still, surely they missed an opportunity not having the real Queen Elizabeth give her the award?
The Graham Norton Show continues tonight at 10.40pm on BBC One. The Crown season 3 comes to Netflix on November 17.
