Strictly Come Dancing's Tom Fletcher has vowed that he will make a 'special' comeback to the show in week three with his partner Amy Dowden.
The pair announced that they had both contracted Covid after the first live show on Saturday.
McFly musician Tom and his professional dancer Amy took to their Instagram page to announce that they were unwell and it would mean that they had to miss a week of the dancing show but will return in week three.
In her statement, Amy said: "Unfortunately @tomfletcher and I have tested positive for Covid-19. I’m not suffering any symptoms but am now isolating at home.
"I have no doubt that over the next 10 days my mind will be going crazy with choreography ideas ready to get back on the strictly dance floor for the live show in week 3!
"Thank you for all of the support and good luck to all of the couples this week. I will be cheering you all on."
Tom then wrote underneath it: "Rest up partner. We’ve got to pull something special out of the bag for week 3."
This comes after Tom was supposed to perform with McFly in Glasgow but had to pull out because of feeling 'unwell'.
However, Amy said that she has not had any Covid symptoms.
A statement from a Strictly Come Dancing spokesperson said that Tom and Amy will miss this week’s live show but they should return the following week ‘all being well’.
The pair performed the Cha Cha to September by Earth, Wind & Fire for their first dance and ended up scoring 21 point out of a possible 40 which placed them at twelfth place on the leader board.
This is compared to TV presenter AJ Odudu who was in the top spot as she scored 34 out of 40 along with her partner new Strictly pro Kai Widdrington with her Jive to Gold dust by DJ Fresh.
However, down in last place was Dragon's Den star and entrepreneur Sara Davies and Aljaz Skorjanec who got a score of 17 for a Cha Cha to The Boss by Diana Ross.
None of the contestants were sent home this week due to it being week one but their scores will be carried over into week two which will see the first celebrity leave the competition.
There are currently 15 celebrities competing and the show will run for 13 weeks until one is crowned the winner and presented with the iconic glitterball trophy.
