Rio Ferdinand and Kate Wright tied the knot in a glamorous ceremony in Turkey, surrounded by their loved ones.
From 28 year old Kate’s touching moment with Rio’s daughter Tia, to her last-minute dash to find the perfect dress, the couple’s day was filled with many special stories.
And, the touching moments from their special day didn’t stop there as 40 year old Rio also surprised his bride with a performance from her favourite R'n'B singer, Ashanti.
The singer, who was flown in from America especially to sing for Kate, performed a number of her hits including So Into You, Always On Time and What’s Luv?
And newlywed Kate has now shared a video of the amazing moment that her favourite singer performed at their wedding reception.
Sharing the unforgettable moment of Ashanti singing So Into You at the bash, Kate wrote in the caption: “When u think the day couldn’t get any better and your husband surprises you with @ashanti …. wow.”
Kate later shared more pictures from their wedding celebrations, including one of Rio getting low on the dance floor and the former professional footballer sitting on the shoulders of one of his friends.
The couple’s stunning Turkish ceremony, which was exclusively covered by OK! magazine, took place at the D Maris Bay hotel in Marmaris, Turkey.
On Rio’s big day, he told us he “wasn’t looking for someone” when he met Kate, but he believes “fate” brought her to him and his three children Lorenz, 13, Tate, 11, and Tia, eight.

Rio said: “I definitely wasn’t looking for someone at that time. I didn’t think it was possible, I wasn’t open to bringing someone in to become a stepmum to the kids.
“Things don’t always go the way you imagine. Meeting Kate changed everything and sometimes it’s just fate.”
“I knew Kate was special from the moment I met her, it was pretty instant, but seeing her with the kids cemented everything, that was a huge part of it for me.
“So many pieces of the jigsaw have to click together for it to work and the wedding was the final piece.”
And Kate relived the special moment she broke down in tears when she received a touching gift from Rio.
In the exclusive interview, Kate said: “I got all the bridesmaids a little box with a few gifts and Tia was crying her eyes out.

“Rio also got me a book that I was given in the morning and on each page it said something that he loved about me.”
She added: “We all read it together and we were all crying. Tia turned to me and said she never thought she’d be this happy and I was gone with emotion from then.”
Since returning to the UK after tying the knot, the couple have already hit the gym together, on their first day back to their daily workout sessions, Kate revealed the couple got a surprise as the entered their home gym.
Giant silver helium balloons spelling out ‘MR & MRS’ had been placed in the gym next to the machines and Kate and Rio were evidently delighted with the sweet gesture.
The loved-up couple posed in front of the balloons, with former TOWIE star Kate flashing a peace sign and Rio beaming as he leaned on a box. Sharing the picture to Instagram, she wrote: “Nice little surprise in the gym this morning …. the workouts continue #itsalifestyle.”
And shortly after, Rio returned to work just four days after marrying Kate. The former professional footballer joined fellow BT Sports pundits Gary Lineker, Peter Crouch and Owen Hargreaves to discuss Tottenham Hotspur's Champions League match against Bayern Munich on 1 October.
