Amanda Holden explains why she's now happy to show her daughters on Instagram

Jul 11, 2019

Amanda Holden has defended her decision to start sharing pictures of her daughters, after previously choosing to keep their identities private.

Proud mum Amanda shares two daughters, Lexi, 13, and seven-year-old Hollie with her husband Chris.

And while she’s always gushed about her family on Instagram, she initially chose not to show her daughter’s faces to protect their privacy.

Now, Amanda doesn’t seem to have any qualms about her daughter’s faces featuring on her page and the Britain’s Got Talent judge has explained why she’s done a 180.

Addressing the topic while appearing on This Is Mothership: Sofa Sessions, she said: ‘They’ve ended up all over my Instagram. For so long we did shots of them from the back and as they’ve grown up it’s a pride thing, you end up being so proud of them.’

She revealed that her husband Chris likes to keep things very private and wasn’t the biggest fan of having the girls on social media, but when he told Amanda to post a picture of Lexi one time, Amanda needed no encouraging.

‘[It was] the minute he said, “Lexi looks blinking gorgeous you have to post that.”’

Amanda has been letting fans in on a series of revelations lately, including one slightly embarrassing incident that saw her, ahem, poo herself when she was drunk.

She got a grilling from Keith Lemon on his show Shopping With Keith, who point blank asked her whether she had ever been so drunk, she’d ‘crapped her pants’.

‘Yes. I pooed myself, but I did have a funny tummy,’ Amanda confessed. ‘But I did walk home and it felt like I had a small b****** in my pants. Like a warm, pooey b******.’

Information we did not need.

There was also that time when Amanda asked a doctor if she could wear stilettos while giving birth. She explained how she had a C-section when giving birth to her eldest daughter Lexi and went full glam for the occasion.

We’re talking lip gloss, lashes, the lot. TO GIVE BIRTH.

Amanda, were you feeling OK, hun?
