COMME des GARÇONS Homme Plus has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2022 collection. Showcasing in Tokyo, the theme of the collection was “Nomad.”
Models wore oversized suit jackets laid over dresses and pants, and each wore a different variation of a top hat. The color palette consisted of black with splashes of bright red, orange, green and purple.
The collection featured two shoe collaborations. Influenced by late British shoe designer John Moore, who created the double-strap sandal and Oxford shoes, CDG worked with the brand George Cox to update the two shoe models with a thick Creeper-style sole.
CDG also worked with Nike to manufacture double-layered distressed leather, which was used in the making of the collection’s exclusive Air Max 97s.
On the inspiration for the collection, CDG said:
Nowadays if you want to know anything, you can get as much
information as you want from the internet and it’s an experience. But still
I can’t be satisfied.
I yearn after a nomadic life where you can truly live freely by yourself,
not flocking together, not belonging anywhere. It is enviable.
