FRAMA and Frederik Gustav Debut Wooden Bracket Series

Dec 8, 2022

Multi-disciplinary lifestyle label FRAMA has tapped Copenhagen-based design entity Frederik Gustav for a new furniture collection, dubbed the Bracket Series.

Designed in 2021, the series comprises a chair, a bench and shelves — each of which is fabricated in solid oiled pine and available in two finishes: warm brown and white. Inspired by “traditional carpentry,” the collection puts functionality at its fore, with a central bracket component that remains constant through each iteration. Championing its affinity for environmental responsibility, FRAMA intends to amplify the natural beauty of raw materials through this latest offering.

With Frederik Gustav, the collection integrates practical experimentation into its design processes. Notably, the Danish studio is the brainchild of Frederik Weber and Gustav Dupont, who met while studying furniture design at the Royal Academy. There, the duo merged their artisanal skills into one after discovering a shared passion for wood and construction techniques.

“The Bracket Series is a collection designed with the intent of turning an unconventional yet highly functional component, the bracket, into a beautiful feature,” Frederik Gustav noted in a statement.

FRAMA’s Bracket Chair will be on display at the Stockholm Furniture Fair from February 7 to 11, 2023, inside the storied KB, Konstnärsbaren, a Swedish eatery founded in the 1930s. Following the fair, 40 stamped and signed Bracket Chairs will be sold exclusively via Bukowski Auktioner AB.
