Jonathan Majors accused of shoving woman into car during alleged altercation

May 10, 2023

Jonathan Majors reportedly caused his victim’s middle finger ‘bruising, swelling, and substantial pain’ as new details from the domestic violence allegations against the actor were revealed.

On Tuesday, Manhattan prosecutors released new charging information about the alleged assault that took place in March and said he pulled the victim’s finger.

Included in the most recent revelations the star’s accuser said he grabbed her ‘right arm, [placed] it behind my body, and use his hands to twist my right forearm and right middle finger, causing substantial pain to my right forearm and right middle finger,’ as reported by Insider.

The publication went on to say that the charging document put forward that the Creed III actor struck the victim’s right ear with his hand, causing a cut.

They also revealed that it is alleged he had used both of his hands to push her into a car which resulted in the victim falling backwards.

It was noted at the time that the supposed attack occurred in the early hours of March 25 – at the corner of Canal Street and Centre Street in lower Manhattan blocks away from the area’s criminal courthouse.

Following the allegations, the 33-year-old star pledged his innocence through his legal team who later denounced the case as a ‘witch hunt’.

His lawyer Priya Chaudhry made a statement outside of court on Tuesday, according to Deadline.

She reportedly said: ‘We have provided the District Attorney with irrefutable evidence that the woman is lying, including video proof showing nothing happened, especially not where she claimed.

‘We did this with the explicit promise from the DA that they would not ‘fix’ their case and change it as we proved the woman is lying.

‘This is a witch hunt against Jonathan Majors, driven by baseless claims.

‘Instead of dismissing the allegations in the face of the woman’s clear lies, the DA has adjusted the charges to match the woman’s new lies.

‘To be clear, there are no new charges against Mr. Majors.’

The star virtually attended Tuesday’s hearing and his face was seen on a monitor that was put in front of  Criminal Court Judge Rachel Pauley.

He wore a beige shirt and sat in front of a white background, only speaking the words ‘Good morning’, ‘Yes ma’am’, and ‘Thank you’ over the course of the five-minute session.

The actor is facing charges of assault to recklessly cause physical injury, harassment of physical contact, assault with intention to cause physical injury, aggravated assault to injure family and attempted assault with intention to cause physical injury.

All charges listed expect to carry a maximum sentence of one year in a city jail.
