Natalie Imbruglia has given birth to a baby boy.

The Torn hit-maker, 44, introduced her bundle of joy via Instagram on Wednesday and told fans her ‘heart is bursting’ with love for her little man.

Natalie shared an adorable photo of her holding her newborn son’s hand, while hiding his face from view.

He was cutely dressed in a striped, rainbow printed baby grow and Natalie revealed her baby’s name Max Valentine, as she gushed over her new arrival to her 321k followers.

She wrote: ‘Welcome to the world… Max Valentine Imbruglia. My heart is bursting #myboy.’

Natalie confirmed her pregnancy back in July, while revealing she had opted to have a child using a sperm donor and IVF.

Alongside a picture of her cradling her baby bump, Natalie explained she has been wanting to become a mum for a ‘very long time’ and was feeling blessed to finally be expecting.

She wrote: ‘As you can see from the pic there is another announcement (no I haven’t swallowed a watermelon).

‘I’m expecting my first child this Autumn.

‘For those of you that know me this has been something I have wanted for a very long time and I’m blessed that this is possible with the help of IVF and a sperm donor – I won’t be saying anything more on that publicly.’

It had been a double celebration for Natalie, as she revealed she had also signed a new record deal and has a new album on the way.

‘I’m so excited about this next adventure…a new album and I’m going to be a mum,’ she said.

The Australian singer is best known for hits including Big Mistake and Smoke and her hit album, Left Of The Middle.

She was previously married to Silverchair rocker Daniel Johns. They tied the knot in 2003, but split five years later in 2008 – reasoning that their careers had taken them in different directions.
