Growing up, the Jordan kids only knew of their legendary father as “Dad.”
“I definitely didn’t realize growing up who he was,” Jasmine told InStyle in 2018. “He was ‘Dad,’ and that was it. It wasn’t until my pre-teens at about 12 or 13 years old that I literally went on YouTube and looked up ‘Michael Jordan’ just to see why everyone was so obsessed.”

Famous for his unmatched competitive nature, Jordan was able to turn that side of himself off around his kids — most of the time.
“One of the biggest misconceptions was that he couldn’t turn that [competitiveness] off,” Jeffrey told The Breakfast Club in May 2020. “He definitely could turn it off and be a dad … But when it was on, it was on.”

“I’m definitely texting him nonstop. I think there hasn’t been an episode, a Sunday where I haven’t been like, ‘This happened — let me know your thoughts,’ ” Jasmine told the Chicago Sun-Times in May 2020. “I was super young, so I’m really taking this in as a fan.”

Later, another 1,500 joined the couple for the reception at the Bears Club, a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course community in Jupiter, Florida.
