Below Deck Mediterranean season three is airing on E4 in the UK and fans have enjoyed following the crew aboard the Talisman Maiton. The current series has given insight into what Captain Sandy Yawn and her crew get up to out at sea. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about who makes the most money from their updates on social media.

Who are the highest earners on Instagram?

Below Deck is a popular American reality series following different crews as they look after guests onboard luxury yachts.

The original series, which airs on Bravo, inspired the Mediterranean spin-off, which is airing in the UK.

Fans have been keen to discover what the cast are up to since leaving the show, and they have taken to their Instagram accounts to find out more.

Casino.org has compiled a list of the top earners across all series, from Below Deck Med, and Below Deck Sailing Yacht.

When it comes to all three series, the number one Instagram earner is chief stewardess Kate Chastain.

She has more than 797,000 followers and can earn an average of $4,297 (£3,137) per post.

Her most recent post was of a stunning view from a balcony, with plenty of palm trees. She said: “Casual Wednesday loving the new home vibe.”

Just behind her are chief stewardess Hannah Ferrier from Below Deck Med, earning $3,625 (£2,646) per post, and chef Ben Robinson.

Fan-favourite Robinson was on both the original series and the Mediterranean spin-off, and he earns $3,484 (£2,543) per post.

When it comes to the Mediterranean series alone, Hannah Ferrier is on top, followed by Ben Robinson.

Captain Sandy Yawn is next in line earning $2,254 (£1,645) per Instagram update.

At the other end is deckhand Robert Westergaard, who was in Below Deck Med season five, who is on $255 (£186) per post.

Of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht originals, the highest earner is chef Adam Glick, who also appears in Below Deck Med.

He has more than 316,000 followers and can rake in $1,712 (£1,250) for each post.

Next in line is Georgia Grobler, with more than 70,000 followers on Instagram. She earns an average of $371 (£271) per post.

Casino.org’s entertainment expert spoke exclusively to Express.co.uk about the latest statistics.

They said: “Our findings show that it’s no longer just the captains who have the biggest clout on deck, with three crew members outranking their superiors when it comes to Instagram earnings.

“Below Deck’s Kate Chastain is the highest earner on our list, which comes as no surprise considering she was one of the longest-standing members of the cast, having survived six seasons of the show.

“During her time on-deck Kate never failed to provide the drama, from flirtatious romances with chef Ben Robinson (who came in third on our rich list), to leaving phallic towel formations on the primary’s bed, Kate undoubtedly brought a lot of entertainment to the show and this has made her enormously popular with the public.

“Second on our list is Below Deck Mediterranean’s chief stewardess, Hannah Ferrier. Similarly to Kate, Hannah was often at the centre of the drama on the show, having butted heads with just about everyone she’s worked with.

“Still, despite her many on-deck feuds, Hannah has proved to be a huge hit with the public, having amounted over 669,000 followers on her Instagram account.

“Following her sudden and dramatic exit from the show, the public clearly weren’t ready to let go of the Australian chief stew, and have opted to continue following her life through her social channels.

“I believe there’s such great interest in the Instagram accounts of the Below Deck crew because their way of living is so completely different to anything we’re used to seeing.

“People want to know more about this crazy life where you’re able to stay on luxurious yachts, travel the world, and receive thousands of dollars in tips every few days for your work.

“It’s fascinating to the public, and they’re naturally keen to know more about what the crew’s life beyond the show looks like.”

Below Deck Mediterranean airs on weekdays on E4.
