Celebrity event planner Colin Cowie — who has done events for Jennifer Aniston, Oprah Winfrey and Kim Kardashian — is bringing his flair to Billionaires’ Row.
The designer has been tapped as lifestyle specialist and event planner for the ritzy new Central Park Tower, the highest residential building in the world, Page Six can exclusively reveal.
The 100th floor will boast a private club, which Cowie tells us will have a rotating cast of top-flight chefs including Alfred Portale, Laurent Tourondel and Gabriel Kreuther. Decor will change and the menu will be seasonal.
“My approach is, ‘How do we keep it alive and current?’ so you have this oasis you never want to leave,” Cowie tells us.
There is also an indoor-and-outdoor pool space for barbecues and movies, concierge services for residents, and special holiday events.
“The exact same services I would provide to a client, I am now providing to an owner,” he tells us. “We don’t want to be a pretentious white-glove building, but a way to empower you to live your most glamorous life.”
He is currently hiring staff.
Apartments currently available range from over $8 million to $65 million and residents are beginning to move in.
Cowie is optimistic about the future. “I feel a shift,” he says. “The business is coming back, people are starting to party, people are wanting to live again.” But, “If there were to be a relapse [in the pandemic], I would love to know I was in a building I would never have to leave.”
