Everything you need to know about Niall Cunningham who plays Brady in Sex and the City reboot

The next chapter of Sex and the City finally aired on Thursday 9 December, after months of teasers and rumours of potential plot twists.

The reboot, titled And Just Like That…, sees iconic characters Carrie Bradshaw ( Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes ( Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York-Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) all return to our screens.

The characters' lives have wildly changed since we last saw them, and most notably, their children have all grown up. While Carrie opted not to have any children, Charlotte is mum to two girls and Miranda's son Brady is now a teenager.

The character of teenager Brady has also been taken over by a new actor, Niall Cunningham. Here we take a look at who the new star is…

Who is Niall Cunningham?

Niall Cunningham is 27 years old, and hails from Brooklyn, New York.

He is an actor who's is best known for starring as Tyler Hughes in Life in Pieces, a CBS family comedy, which ran from 2015 until 2019.

Niall has also starred in TV series Awkward, and in 2017 had a small role in Bong Joon-ho's film, Okja.

Niall hadn't always dreamed of being an actor however, but made his acting debut in 2015 on Hulu show Deadbeat, and soon uncovered his love of performing.

He has now landed the role of Brady in Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That…, with the first two episodes recently airing.

Brady is the son of Miranda Hobbes and Steve Brady (David Eigenberg), and was originally portrayed by actor Joseph Pupo.

Joseph kept the role from infancy all the way up until the SATC movies, with Brady last appearing on-screen in 2010 movie, Sex and the City 2.

Over on Instagram, Niall has gushed over his latest role and co-stars. Sharing snaps from the recent premiere in New York, he wrote: "So enormously grateful to be a part of this incredible show, in this gorgeous, generous ensemble, and the child to these magnificent tv parents – My oh my, how lucky."

Speaking to HollywoodLife at the launch, he gave a glimpse into what fans can expect for Brady now he's a teenager with a girlfriend, saying: “You’re fighting to find yourself and make mistakes that you think are not mistakes and that definitely steps on other people’s toes. It’s a tough time."
