In one of the best examples of an autumnal makeover we’ve seen in a long time, Kristen Stewart’s new strawberry blonde hair is sending the internet into a frenzy right now.
The actress is starring as Princess Diana in the upcoming biopic Spencer, which is set for release in November and is already racking up positive reviews from critics.
It looks like the film may well have inspired Kristen to return to a fully blonde style in a move away from her grown-out “shadow roots” look.
Stepping out on the Telluride Film Festival red carpet in Colorado over the weekend, the 31 year old sent social media into a spin as users swooned over her fresh reddish-blonde tones, which were swept up into a grungy 90s-inspired updo.
"Idk how many times blonde Kristen Stewart passing through my timeline, I'mma smash the like button in [the] speed of light," one fan wrote on Twitter.
Another added, "Last night I dreamt that I had Kristen Stewart’s new hair[…] this is not the first time I dreamt about her haircut soon after she changes it.”
The star’s longtime hairstylist and Virtue Creative Director Adir Abergel was behind the look, as well as her loose waves for the Venice Film Festival the same week, and he explained that the two had “hung out and dreamed up this new hair vibe" beforehand.
"Collaborating with this human for over 15 years has been such a gift and a beautiful journey. Family," he wrote on Instagram.
“For anyone that knows me, you know how much I love my job and doing hair and celebrating individuality. Hair can be such a beautiful way to express yourself and to have fun with and to tell a different story,” he added.
Of course, people were very quick to heap praise on the stylist’s work on Kristen’s hair – using the Virtue ColorKick Keratin Filler to preserve hair health when colouring.
"This butterscotch is yummy," one of his followers posted, while another said, "Super chic shade."
"I truly believe hair is a powerful weapon, one [of] empowerment and a beautiful way to represent yourself," said a third. "Congratulations on this beautiful work, it is a masterpiece!!"
A fourth added, "Her hair is looking so unique, fresh, and cool. Can’t wait to see Spencer!"
