DEAR DEIDRE: MY sister changed her baby’s name and I’m gutted.
When we were kids we talked about our favourite names and she promised if she had a son he would be called Noah.
But when she gave birth last month, aged 22, she and her husband announced he was named Sam.

I’m 19 and so upset that I feel I can’t bond with the baby. Am I being childish?
DEIDRE SAYS: The name you picked as children helped you connect to the pregnancy and baby.
Now your childhood fantasy, which bonded you with your sister, has vanished.
She is right to change the name to one they both like.
In time you will get used to the new name and fall in love with your new nephew.
Once you spend time with him these feelings will start to fade away.
