Pixie Lott ditches blonde for copper hair as fans compare her to Julia Roberts

Dec 16, 2021

We’ve pretty much always known her as a blonde, but Pixie Lott has just completely changed up her look in favour of a new copper shade.

The style is very different from the bright blonde that’s almost always been her signature look throughout her singing career, with her hair now much warmer and reddish in tone.

Taking to Instagram, the 30 year old unveiled her brand new style to her 723k followers, writing “She’s only gone copper for Christmas” alongside a string of Christmas tree emojis.

Pixie’s new colour and curly style mean she looks almost identical to Julia Roberts during her Pretty Woman era back in the 90s – something that her followers were quick to point out in the comments section of her post.

"Very Julia Roberts! Love it," one follower commented, as another enthused, "Gorgeous Julia Roberts vibes".

Meanwhile a third fan exclaimed, "Ooofff Pretty Woman” while a fourth praised Pixie’s natural hair texture by saying, "You know how much I love the copper curls!".

The singer’s new look was created by colourist Harriet Muldoon at London’s Larry King salon using a copper gloss.

Larry himself is Pixie’s go-to hairdresser and has previously discussed styling the singer’s natural curls for the red carpet.

Speaking about her look for the 2021 London Fashion Awards on Instagram he wrote, “I used loads of @larrykinghaircare Volumizing Hair Mist on the roots, and Curvaceous by @redken [through the] mid lengths and ends to create ultimate volume, embracing all of those beautiful natural curly and wavy textures!!”

The Dyson ambassador added, “Only way to enhance these curls is with a good diffuser, and there ain’t no better than @dysonhairpro Supersonic Diffuser attachments!”

As recognisable as Pixie’s blonde hair was, we’re sure you’ll agree that this new look suits her down to a tee.
