The Chinese New Year starts on February 1, 2022, and everyone is going to be reading their horoscopes for the year. Just like Western star signs, Chinese zodiac signs have traits and characteristics associated with them. Express.co.uk chatted to Feng Shui and Chinese astrology Expert Marites Allen (@maritesallen on Instagram) to find out everything you need to know about the Rabbit.

If you or someone you know was born in the following years (after the date of the Chinese New Year), you’re a rabbit:

  • 1987
  • 1975
  • 1963
  • 1951
  • 1939
  • 1927
  • 1915

Rabbits are chilled-out people, but they like to have a set plan and stick to it.

Marites said: “The Rabbit-born has an easy-going nature and is most at peace when he is sure of what he is doing.

“Even in chaotic situations, the Rabbit will not panic for as long as he has a plan.

“This makes him an ideal match for positions that require making sure projects go on smoothly and according to schedule.”

Rabbits are rational when it comes to their feelings and you won’t find them making a scene.

Marites said: “Rabbits have a stable grip on their emotions. If they feel happy, then there are no further questions asked. On the other hand, if they feel sad, then they will find what is wrong and try to correct it.

“Sometimes this can be a hindrance because they may stress over a casual statement that should not be taken seriously.

“Despite that quiet façade, they can be sensitive and will not think twice about moving out of an uneasy situation because they can’t take criticisms well.”
