Bubbly television personality Josie Gibson says she was 'in tears' after co-presenting This Morning alongside Phillip Schofield this week.
The one-time Big Brother winner stepped in for Holly Willoughby on Tuesday 16, after the regular host was taken ill with a stomach bug.
While her appearance went without any major hiccups, when she appeared the next day (Wednesday 17) she admitted having a "good cry" once cameras had stopped rolling, as it was "such a big thing" for her to front the programme.
The 26-year-old often does a competition segment of the ITV morning chat show, but has not been asked to be a main presenter before.
As Phillip introduced her second show yesterday, he said: "Welcome to your Wednesday this morning and look who's back!"
She replied: "Oh thank you very much for having me back," as Phillip insisted: "No, there was a massive response, people loved you…"
In response, Josie remarked: "Do you know what? Social media can be quite a dark place at times. But yesterday I was showered with love.
"I had a good cry, I did have a cry for about half an hour after the show."
Phillip then joked: "Well I often do that after the show…" while laughing before asking: "Of what, relief?"
Josie shared: "It was just so emotional. It was a really big thing to be sat here with you yesterday and to have all those lovely messages. It was just so lovely"
Meanwhile Holly Willoughby has thanked Josie for her presenting efforts in her absence, writing on her Instagram story yesterday: "Thank you @josiegibson85 for saving the day yesterday… You are a dream! I'll be back as soon as I'm in no threat of vomiting on @schofe."
Fans have reacted well to Josie's stint on the show, with some Twitter users calling her "a breath of fresh air" and a "natural" in the role
Bristol-born Josie launched her media career back in 2010 after winning the final series of Big Brother on Channel 4, where she enjoyed an on-screen romance with ex-flame John James Parton.
