Little Mix have reportedly decided that the "end of the road" has been reached and will call time on their girl band next month.

Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards are set to announce that they have decided to go their separate ways next month – almost a year after Jesy Nelson confirmed her exit.

The trio, who made history in 2011 after becoming the first group to ever win The X Factor, going further than the likes of One Direction and JLS, will use their 2022 tour as a farewell, sources say.

A source told The Sun that it is "very clear that the end of the road has been reached," for the trio.

They added: "A date is set to announce the split. The upcoming tour is going to be a farewell to their fans."

It comes just days after the publication also shared that a source said the girls want to pursue their own solo careers – though not all necessarily singing.

It was said that Leigh-Anne has signed up with Dua Lipa's manager, while Jade is looking to focus on becoming a songwriter and presenter, while Perrie also reportedly has a few things in the works.

The source said: "They still get on great, despite everything that happened with Jesy.

"They all know there will have to be a career beyond Little Mix, so they've put things in place."

It was stated that the girls want to see out their commitments, then turn to solo projects immediately after.

As it stands, the trio will be releasing their seventh album Between US on November 12, and the girls will kick-start their 2022 tour next year.

News of their reported split comes almost a year after the girls continued working as a three-piece following Jesy Nelson's exit in December 2020.

At the time, Jesy praised the band for achieving things she "never thought possible", but confessed the group had taken a toll on her mental health.

She said: "The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard."

Jesy stated that she wanted to take care of herself and had decided to begin that process.

She thanked the girls for the best memories as the trio confirmed they would continue Little Mix without Jesy, but now it seems they may have decided to call time on their decade-long career.

Daily Star has approached a representative for Little Mix for comment.
