The ‘Wildest Dreams’ singer and longtime pal Claire Winter Kislinger have teamed up to create a copy of the signature ring the star donned on the cover of her album.
AceShowbiz –Taylor Swift and her longtime friend Claire Winter Kislinger have teamed up to create a replica of the ring the pop star wore on the cover of her new album “Red (Taylor’s Version)”.
The “RED” ring, crafted by Claire’s jeweller mum Cathy Waterman, will be available to fans this holiday season, priced $45 (£32.70).
Swift wore Waterman’s signature LOVE Ring – a gift from the jewellery designer and her daughter in 2011 – while writing songs for the original “RED” album.
“Our friendship has always been really important to me. Taylor is such a steady, reliable friend,” Winter Kislinger tells People. “The collaboration is significant to me personally and for the brand as well. My mom has always said that the people she wants to be associated with most are talented, strong, hard-working women. Check. Check. Check.”
“I love the album and identify with much of the music. I saw the ring in my mind and started drawing. It happened very quickly as some of the best things do… We sat together designing, making sure it had the same feeling of the LOVE Ring and could also be easy to read. Fun fact: the LOVE Ring has thorns in the design because they’re a part of love and life. The RED Ring does too. It has 13 thorns – Taylor’s lucky number.”
“Taylor loves her fans. I think they will love the story of the ring and feel honoured to be able to wear a ring like Taylor’s.”
Meanwhile, Taylor is celebrating her favourite season by listing all the things she likes about the autumn in an Instagram video post.
“Hats and scarves and kneesocks and wearing tights for the first time in months,” she says. “And when the mornings are all chilly and you can see your breath and draw little pictures on foggy windows and plaid stuff and ankle boots and not caring when people make fun of pumpkin-flavoured stuff ’cause you love it and are happy.”
She also raves about “people who dress their dogs in costumes on Halloween” and “fires in fireplaces and maroon/hunter green/mustard yellow colour combos.”
