Strictly Come Dancing fans vote every week to keep their favourite celebrity in the competition, leaving the rest at risk of ending up in the dance-off. The contestants have really stepped it up this year with several celebrities believed to be in the running to lift up the Glitterball Trophy. But according to newly leaked information, there are a few surprises in who the public have been voting for.

Strictly returned for Halloween Week at the weekend with the dancing couples dressed up in their spooky costumes, ready to give everyone the fright of their lives.

Unfortunately, McFly singer Tom Fletcher and partner Amy Dowden didn’t impress the judges with their Tango to AC/DC’s Highway to Hell.

They were definitely not the biggest scorers of the night, ending up in the middle of the leaderboard with 29 points.

Nevertheless, Tom and Amy could be in the running to win the show as they had the highest number of votes the previous week.

In Week Five, the McFly star won the majority of support at home with 19.1 percent of the overall vote going to him, according to The Mail on Sunday.

The couple performed the Salsa to Harry Styles’ Watermelon Sugar which went down a storm with the judges who gave them 34 points for their efforts.

Tom has been doing well in the competition but hasn’t been among the stand-up celebrities in the competition.

A source commented: “It’s a case of the McFly factor for Tom, the fans just don’t seem to stop being loyal to them.”

In second place for the public vote that week was EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice with 18.2 percent.

They wowed everyone in Halloween Week with the Viennese Waltz, scoring the first 40 of the competition, the earliest top mark score in Strictly history.

In third place, going by the leaked votes, was Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty and Katya Jones with 16.4 percent of the backing.

This would have gone down though following his spooky performance at the weekend as they found themselves in the dance-off with comedian Judi Love.

The fourth couple who could still be in with a chance of winning is Steph’s Packed Lunch chef John Whaite and partner Johannes Radebe.

They received 10.4 percent of the votes in Week Five and have been consistently near the top of the leaderboard for weeks.

But there is still all to play for as the public’s favourite continues to change week-on-week.

A BBC spokesperson commented: “This is pure speculation.”

Adam Peaty and Judi Love had to perform again in the dance-off after failing to impress the judges and the general public.

Sadly for the Loose Women star, Judi was sent home packing when the judges voted unanimously in favour of keeping Adam.

So whose turn will it be next to have their final dance on the iconic dancefloor?

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Saturday, November 6, at 6.45pm on BBC One.
