AFTER music success with Busted and a handful of acting gigs, Matt Willis is looking to his next big role.

And I can reveal it will involve him teaming up with his stunning missus Emma as they are lined up to become TV’s new power couple.

A source said: “After over two decades in Busted, Matt is preparing to make the move into TV presenting. He is totally overhauling his image and sees his future on the box.

“Matt is so serious about this new step he has signed up to Emma’s management company, who helped curate her career to make her a huge star. Together, the pair are being touted as TV’s new power couple.

"Matt and Emma have great chemistry together and are both perfect for wholesome, family television. Matt has already been going to castings for new TV shows and was in the final selection for BBC2’s new series Rock Of Ages.

“He narrowly missed out to Martin Kemp but he’s not been disheartened. Busted have been on a hiatus since 2019 and while he is very much still part of the band, it’s something that is on the back burner for now. His fans should be watching out for him on a new TV series soon and if their plan works, Emma will be by his side.”

Matt, who joined Busted from their inception in 2000 with Charlie Simpson and James Bourne, is a pro on camera, having starred in TV dramas Birds Of A Feather and EastEnders.

While Busted are on a break, Matt will be taking on the role of Dr Pomatter in romantic musical Waitress at the New Wimbledon Theatre later this year, and filming alongside Ed Westwick in new World War Two movie Wolves Of War. The pair play British officers who lead a team of allied commandos on a mission in Bavaria.

The insider added: “Matt is making sure he is being taken seriously as an actor and he has won some big roles recently, which lines up his next career step perfectly. He is really excited about what the future holds.”

Matt is one of the loveliest blokes in showbiz, so I’ve no doubt this career move will be a huge success.

GWEN STEFANI had No Doubt what she wanted when it came to her wedding dress.

The US star, who married country singer Blake Shelton on Saturday, opted for a custom-made gown by Vera Wang.

The couple shared pictures from their big day.

Gwen revealed her dress was customised so she could transform it for the reception – removing the enormous layers of lace to reveal a short tulle skirt, which she wore with cowboy boots.

Posting a black and white snap online, Gwen said: “You need a party dress when you marry Blake Shelton.”

Harry's not acting

HARRY STYLES lived up to his reputation as the nicest bloke in showbiz when he wrapped filming on new movie, My Policeman.

The One Direction star gifted the crew a bag packed with specially made merchandise as a thank you.

A source said: “Harry had a ball and wanted to show his gratitude.

"He organised goodie bags with a personalised postcard and some My Policeman branded, posh towels.

"He also dished out merchandise from his 2019 hit song, Treat People With Kindness.”

After filming, Harry and his girlfriend, director Olivia Wilde, flew to Italy for a break, where they were spotted cheering on the England team as they beat Ukraine at Rome’s Olimpico Stadium on Saturday.

ATOMIC KITTEN have reworked their 2000 song Whole Again and will release the new version today for the Euros.

The song has became an unofficial anthem of the Three Lions, with fans changing the lyrics to: “Gareth Southgate you’re the one, you still turn me on, football’s coming home again.”

It’s the first time Liz McClarnon, Natasha Hamilton and Jenny Frost have sung together in years.

They said: “We are excited and grateful to be able to contribute to the awesome energy.”

James’ best yet

JAMES ARTHUR has dropped the new video for his track September, in which he is dating the daughter of a mafia boss and is introduced to the family.

James, whose album It’ll All Make Sense In The End is out on October 8, revealed the video yesterday and it’s his best yet. If you’ve not seen it, definitely take a look.

DUA LIPA serves up her version of tennis whites.

The Levitating singer has not been able to attend Wimbledon and instead shared pictures of herself posing in a pink skirt and vest top.

Since the 2020 release of her album Future Nostalgia, Dua has been hard at work in the States on her next record.

She’s got plenty of time to spend on it, after being forced to push back her UK and European tour until next year.

RIHANNA made the pixie crop hair-do cool again and now she is trying to bring back the nightwear-for-daywear trend.

She appeared to be wearing a silky black nightgown as she hit the town in New York for a night out on Monday.

Rihanna dressed up the frilly nightie with a long pearl necklace, Gucci bag and black stilettos.

I can definitely see this catching on.

After lying low during lockdown, Rihanna has been making up for lost time, living life to the fullest with her boyfriend Asap Rocky.

IN another bombshell twist from the Britney Spears saga, her manager Larry Rudolph sensationally quit yesterday.

Larry, who has worked with Britney since 1995 before her career went stellar, announced his decision in a letter to the star’s dad Jamie and Jodi Montgomery, the woman who oversees Britney’s conservatorship.

The music boss said he was walking away after learning Britney wanted to officially retire.

In the letter, Larry – who is not part of the conservatorship which controls the singer – wrote: “It has been over two and a half years since Britney and I last communicated, at which time she informed me she wanted to take an indefinite work hiatus. Earlier today, I became aware that Britney had been voicing her intention to officially retire.

“As her manager, I believe it is in Britney’s best interest for me to resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed.”

He signed off the letter by writing: “I will always be incredibly proud of what we accomplished over our 25 years together. I wish Britney all the health and happiness in the world.”

Larry, who has previously represented stars including Miley Cyrus and Nicole Scherzinger, announced his decision just over a week after Britney begged a judge to terminate the conservatorship that controls her life – including stopping her from having children and a say over her finances.

According to US reports yesterday, Britney’s lawyer Sam Ingham, who has represented her throughout the conservatorship, also plans to resign.

It is alleged Sam was upset at the singer’s claim she didn’t know she could end the legal order, and is said to have told those around him he “regularly gave Britney options”. Larry’s move indicates where he stands when it comes to Britney’s welfare and I’m sure plenty more from her team will soon also make a stand.
