CHARLOTTE Crosby has quit Geordie Shore's 10th anniversary show two weeks early because she can't bear to be away from her boyfriend Liam.

The Sun revealed in December that the next series of the MTV reality show will be taking place in Colombia so the gang can still enjoy wild nights out.

However, due to new government rules, the Geordie Shore cast will have to isolate for 20 days in order to film.

Charlotte is confirmed to be joining the cast for the 10th anniversary – but sources close to the star have said she won't do the whole stint.

An insider has told The Sun: "Charlotte's so busy in the UK – she's got several businesses, the house renovation and Liam waiting at home for her.

"She doesn't want to leave any of that for too long, so she's agreed to film for two weeks then return home, while the rest of the cast stay out for a month."

Charlotte's rep and MTV have been contacted for comment.

Charlotte spoke about the Geordie Shore reunion on an early-morning Instagram Live today, revealing that not all the original stars would be turning up.

In what could be a very thinly-veiled dig at Vicky Pattison, she explained: "The obvious people aren't doing it. Begins with a V. She won't be missed."

Charlotte was a member of the original cast in 2011 and starred in 12 seasons of the show.

She eventually left in June 2016.

The star has been with 30-year-old videographer Liam since February last year after meeting in Dubai.

In April 2020, Charlotte broke lockdown rules to move her boyfriend into her house.

The reunion was thrown into chaos as the cast are up in arms over their mandatory quarantine stay.

With the UK's new quarantine laws they'll have to hunker down for ten days when they arrive in South America, and ten days in a hotel in the UK when they land home.

A source told The Sun: "It's caused utter chaos and the cast have all kicked off – some are threatening to quit over it.

"The thing is, it's added almost a month on to the job and while it will be fun to film, it means some of them have had to cancel important jobs and won't be able to see their boyfriends and girlfriends for an extra two weeks after being away for filming.

"Everyone wants to make the series happen but it's a nightmare with all the new rules and keeping everyone safe."

In December, The Sun revealed that the next series of Geordie Shore was swapping Newcastle for Colombia to ensure that the gang can still enjoy their wild nights out while the UK remains in lockdown.
