EastEnders’ Whitney Dean (played by Shona McGarty) has been keeping secrets from Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) over the last couple of months about her soon to be husband Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith). As she finds out about his financial struggles, Whitney is set to tell Zaraah on her wedding day, but will she believe her? If the truth about his financial issues and murders come out about Gray, Karen Taylor (Lorraine Stanley) could take drastic action and leave the BBC soap for her grandchildren Mackenzie Atkins (Isaac Lemonius) and Mia Atkins (Mahalia Malcolm).

Actress Shona McGarty exclusively told Express.co.uk: “As an actress, I hope that she (Whitney) wants the ultimate revenge.

“I hope that she just does something really unexpected or something that isn’t safe. I hope that she wants the ultimate revenge.

“She’s trying to be a little bit careful because Gray is so unpredictable, and she knows what he is capable of.

“She wants to tread lightly and keep herself safe, and Chelsea safe as much as possible.

“I think her heart breaks for Mitch Baker (Roger Griffiths) and Karen because they’re unaware of what’s happened to their daughter.

“I guess in a strange way, she doesn’t want to upset them any further until she knows what to do,” Shona explained.

Will Karen take the children away from Gray for their safety given McGarty’s clues?

Could Gray target Karen as she tries to take his children from him?

Gray has been on a murderous rampage since he killed his wife, Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer), in 2020 after shoving her onto the open dishwasher and being impaled by a knife.

He then went on to kill Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White) after she figured out he killed Chantelle, but he framed Tina for the murder and made it look like she fled the square.

His last victim was Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami) after he pushed him in front of an oncoming underground train due to his jealousy when it came to his and Whitney’s relationship.

This Christmas, Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Kim Fox (Tameka Empson) and Chelsea could all be in danger as the pressure of his lies begins to overflow.

In explosive scenes coming this Christmas, Whitney is set to intervene at Gray’s wedding to Chelsea and expose the truth about his murders.

Discovering the truth about her fiancé, Chelsea is stunned but will she believe Whitney or go through with the wedding?

Will the wedding become a way for her and her family to escape Gray’s clutches, or will this just push them into danger even more?

Whitney has been on his back to come clean about his financial status to Chelsea, the ex-lawyer recently suggested that the couple delay this wedding as it could be too expensive.

Furious at his suggestion, she refused to comply and was determined to walk down the aisle during the Christmas season.

However, she soon saw the full wrath of her fiancé when she interfered in his business.

With Gray’s anger likely to come to the forefront, could the EastEnders villain turn violent against her family?

Will Gray finally meet his downfall this Christmas?

EastEnders airs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday on BBC One.
