EastEnders Lewis actor Aidan O’Callaghan lands shock new job amid controversial Ben Mitchell rape plot

EASTENDERS hunk Aidan O’Callaghan has revealed he has landed a huge movie role – which has already started filming. 

The Irish actor, who plays rapist barman Lewis Butler, shared news of his new role via a now deleted post on his Instagram.


The soap actor, who will sexually assault Ben Mitchell in upcoming harrowing scenes, reposted a still of the movie’s location in Ireland. 

The film – titled The Reckoning of Erin Morrigan – sees Lewis play a character named Col. The movie started shooting last week. 

Aidan’s movie role comes after it was announced he is set to be involved in the soap’s forthcoming male rape storyline. 

The attack comes after a blazing row between Ben and husband Callum sees the former go to the Queen Vic to drown his sorrows.

While there, he spots Lewis on a dating app and, against his better judgement, messages him before meeting up with him for drinks at the Prince Albert.

After some flirting, Ben and Lewis head upstairs once the bar shuts and one thing leads to another.

But Ben is brought right back down to earth when he receives a selfie from Callum and his daughter Lexi.

Overwhelmed by second thoughts, he tries to leave but Lewis refuses to let him go and rapes him.

It is unknown how long Lewis will remain on screen after the attack, but the actor has made clear he was only on the soap for a limited time.

There were rumours that Aidan already had a leaving bash a couple of weeks ago.

An Eastenders fan group shared a snap of him enjoying drinks with some of his cast mates, including Tony Clay, Max Bowden and Natalie Cassidy at a bar in London.
