EastEnders: Sharon finds Ian on the floor of the Vic
Kim (played by Tameka Empson) has struggled to find love since her estranged husband Vincent Hubbard (Richard Blackwood) mysteriously disappeared a couple of years ago on EastEnders. Having since given birth to a son, the mother-of-two has been putting her focus into making a better life for her children, recently upping sticks and pursuing a new career venture in Scotland. However, as she settles back into Walford as Christmas dawns on the BBC soap, it seems she could have eyes for someone very close to home.
The drama kicks off next week when Kim’s sister Denise Fox (Diane Parish) disagrees that her sibling should be allowed to return to work in the salon.
Disappointed, the mother-of-two makes a b-line for Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), who is recruiting staff for the Prince Albert.
Unfortunately, to secure the spot, the feisty character has to go up against newcomer Mila who is already in the midst of a trial shift.
As the competition commences, the pair end up battling it out for the position of barmaid but the owner of the establishment walks in to see nothing but chaos.
At the end of the day, Ian Beale’s (Adam Woodyatt) mother recruits her neighbour’s opponent and once again, the beloved Walford resident is left to kick her heels to the curb.

Spirits are lifted, however, when her father figure Patrick Trueman (Rudolph Walker) returns to the Square following a trip to Trinidad.
After testing positive for coronavirus and ending up in hospital as a result, the pensioner needed to enjoy some well-deserved sunshine.
The popular resident wastes no time in catching up with his son Isaac Baptise (Stevie Basaula) and heads straight to the Queen Vic to enjoy a drink.
It’s here where he and Kim also get to talking, with the pair ending up rather tipsy and leave Denise less than impressed when she sees the state they are in.
Having recently been reunited with her son Raymond, the mother-of-three tells her family she wants the toddler to have a traditional Christmas.
The salon owner doesn’t hold back when she says she wants the youngster to have respectable influences around him, leaving Kim and Patrick highly amused.
With no man to enjoy the seasonal period with, the former decides to take her sister’s advice on board and help Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) with her community Christmas meal.
Hoping to bring some light-hearted entertainment to the event, the mother-of-two gives herself the task of finding a bad Santa.

Having seen a few applicants, Kim is less than impressed by the talent on offer but then she clocks Patrick’s son, Isaac.
The feisty character knows this is the handsome Santa she has been looking for and sets about analysing the teacher’s physique.
Following his audition, it is then time for the mother-of-two to decide if the Walford heartthrob is the winner of the competition.
It has not been revealed if the newcomer will be crowned the champion and land the gig, but could this be the start of a new romance on the Square?
Kim has always had an eye for a younger man and with Isaac currently single, they could begin a rather steamy affair.
With Denise focussed on Raymond and Patrick wanting to spend time with his wife Sheree Trueman (Suzette Llewellyn), their dalliance could go completely unnoticed.
As they start to enjoy each other’s company, the two singletons could begin to develop feelings for one another.
However, will this romance be short-lived or is there a real prospect the mother-of-two has found herself a gentleman who will love her and her children?
EastEnders continues Monday at 8pm on BBC One.
