Rocky Cotton (played by Brian Conley) has been pretending to be Sonia Fowler’s (Natalia Cassidy) long lost dad, so he can cash in on Dot Cotton’s (June Brown) inheritance money. But it turned out he is, in fact, Dotty Cotton’s (Millie Zero) Uncle Tom. Rocky has developed a relationship with Sonia and, in particular, Katy Beale (Gillian Taylforth). The stress is starting to build on Rocky’s shoulders, and in scenes to come, Rocky suffers a heart attack, but is it time, to tell the truth about his scams to save his own life?

In upcoming scenes, Dotty is shocked but also relieved when her mother Sandy appears at Ruby’s and tells her mum she has been saving up for rehab and offers her a place to stay.

Elsewhere, whilst Rocky is nervous ahead of his court case appearance for keying Ethan’s car, Dotty makes things worse by revealing her mum is back.

She informs Rocky she needs him to scam Pete Beale (Dayle Hudson) for more money to pay for Sandy’s rehab.

When Sandy appears, she immediately feels suspicious of his presence, and he soon tells Dotty he is leaving Walford.

As he beings to plan his exit, Pete and Kathy interrupt as she asks Rocky to help her out at Walford East Restaurant.

Later in the week, Kathy appears and reminds Rocky about his promise to help her at the restaurant.

As they make their way over, Rocky is confused when it’s empty, but he’s touched when he realised it’s a surprise for his 60th birthday.

Rocky tells Dotty’s he’s decided to come clean to Kathy and Sonia, and after the party, he begins to write a letter confessing all his lies.

However, he suddenly grabs at his chest and collapses, alone and unconscious in the house, will someone reach him in time to save his life?

Will anyone read the letter he wrote, finally exposing his lies?

If Rocky’s health continues to decline and his scam against Sonia is exposed, she may not be willing to help her “father” after she finds out he has been lying to her about their relationship.

With Christmas on the way, the soaps are getting ready for their explosive storylines, which always shock viewers at the end of the year.

The BBC One soap always goes big over the festive season, delivering many memorable TV moments over the years.

However, the producers are keeping it under tight wraps, and even members of the cast don’t know what is going to happen.

Guerlain Kaur Garcha, who plays Ash Panesar, revealed that she knows absolutely nothing about what happens in Walford this holiday season.

She teased: “I actually don’t know anything about Christmas, it’s a bit secret – I don’t even know anything, but from what I’ve heard, it is really exciting, so will be one to watch.”

It is thought that Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) will feature in this year’s festive episodes as the actor was spotted filming wedding scenes alongside Diane Parish (Denise Fox) and Scott Maslen (Jack Branning).

She previously teased: “All sorts are going on with my sister Kim Fox (Tameka Empson), me, Phill Mitchel (Steve McFadden) and the fight over Raymond Mitchell (Michael Jose Pomares Climate).

“All that’s coming to a head for Christmas and her love with Jack.”

She said on the Pride of Britain Awards red carpet: “Theirs is a grown-up solid relationship; you got to have one, there’s lots of drama.”

EastEnders airs weekdays from 7:30pm on BBC One.
