Game of Thrones season finale saw Bran Stark (played by Isaac Hempstead Wright) crowned the King of the seven kingdoms. Many fans were surprised by the outcome and some even signed a petition for the finale to be remade. However, one Reddit user suspects he could have been the one to take down the Night King.
Fans will remember the epic scene where it seemed all hope was lost for Arya Stark (Maisie Williams).
It seemed as though she was about to be killed by the Night King.
However, in a twist of fate, she turned things around and played the icy villain.
Though, one Reddit user thinks it should have been Bran who killed him.

Reddit user Pidii began: “Okay, so the change starts when Arya jumps on the Night King.
“Unlike most people, I don’t really mind that she did this, but that’s not important here.”
The fan went on to theorise an ending where the Night King succeeded in killing Arya.
The user added: “The NK grabs her throat just the same, makes his cocky smile and kills her by crushing her throat.
“As the dagger is falling down, Bran wargs into Arya’s dead body, her blue eyes open, then grabs the dagger and stabs the Night King just like it happened in the show.
“This gives the entire Bran storyline so much better. Also gives a better ending to Arya.”
Would Bran killing the Night King have made a better ending?
A lot of fans seemed to disagree, defending the young King.

One fan felt Bran still had an important role despite not playing a huge role in the battle.
One user commented: “Bran located the Night King and lured him into a trap. That’s important.”
A second user added: “No… It was a meaningful storyline and some lines suggest that Bran controlled the events for centuries…or for millennia. Moreover, it gave purpose to Arya’s storyline as well.”
Meanwhile, one fan made their own alternate ending for Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).

Reddit user aegonseven began: “Let’s suppose Daenerys really does nuke King’s Landing near the end of A Song of Ice and Fire and is killed by Jon because of it.
“Then Drogon carries her body to Volantis, where she’s resurrected by High Priest Benerro.”
Moreover, the fan speculates the Mother of Dragons would have recognised who she had become.
“I’d like to think that afterwards, Dany would recognise that her pursuit of the Iron Throne turned her into a monster, and she’d forgive Jon for what he did.”
