I’m A Celebrity has revealed that Friday's show will air as a pre-recorded episode instead of live coverage due to the developing Storm Arwen.
Issuing an official statement ahead of the latest instalment, ITV confirmed that hosts Ant and Dec will be recording their links early evening as "precautionary measures" — for the first time in the show's history.
An I'm A Celebrity spokesperson told OK!: "Tonight's I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will be broadcast as a pre-recorded show rather than live due to the developing Storm Arwen and precautionary measures we're putting into place on production.
"Ant & Dec will record their links early evening and these will be played out during tonight's show.
"Our celebrities will remain inside the castle which is secure and we have contingencies in place to cover all weather scenarios to ensure the safety of our cast and crew."
ITV added that Storm Arwen is due to hit the local area around 9pm, the same time as I'm A Celebrity's live air date, so the show has been pre-recorded due to concerns the satellite link could be impacted.
While all celebrity campmates are safe inside Gwrych Castle with their safety and wellbeing "utmost priority" to the ITV show.
It's been an eventful few days after Richard Madeley was forced to pull out of the show after he was taken to hospital on Thursday morning.
Richard, 65, had fallen ill while staying on-set in Gwrych Castle at the ITV show’s North Wales location and due to breaking the Covid bubble with his visit to hospital, he had to leave the camp.
The Good Morning Britain star, who has since insisted he is "absolutely fine", was spotted for the first time on Friday after his early exit from the ITV show and he appeared in good spirits.
Addressing his exit on Thursday's show, Ant and Dec admitted they were "gutted" over his early departure as they revealed he would be returning on Friday for an interview.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! continues to air at 9pm on ITV and ITV Hub every night.
