Katie Price, Joe Swash, and Dion Dublin were the three Celebrity MasterChef contestants battling for a place in the semi-final stage of the heated competition on Friday night. While Katie’s nerves got the better of her when she was making her main course, she had faith her dessert would impress the judges. But did she do enough to make it through to the next stage?
During episode nine of Celebrity Masterchef, the contestants had just one hour and 15 minutes to dazzle former celebrity contestants Sophie Thompson, John Partridge, and Vicky Patterson.
Naturally, they also had to impress longstanding judges Greg Wallace and John Torode to secure their place in the semi-final.
But with only two spots up for grabs, Katie, Joe, and Dion were all well aware that one of them would be sent home.
So who struggled under the pressure?

Former Eastenders star Joe said he could not believe how much the competition was getting under his skin.
He said: “I’m definitely becoming a better cook.”
Katie explained how she wanted to put 100 percent into the competition and admitted there was no way of “blagging” her way into the next stage.
Lion said: “I’d love to get into the semis – I’m in the last eight. I’m a footballer from Leicester.”
During the episode Dion cooked some pork medallions in rum sauce with a sweet potato mash with a hint of nutmeg.
He admitted to the judges: “This cooking stuff is tough”
However, all three guest judges praised his dish, with Dion saying it was “definitely the best” he had ever done.
Joe decided to make a traditional toad in the hole which he called ‘Swashy’s tarted-up toad in the hole’.

Joe said: “I think this is as good as it’s going to get for me,” Joe said when discussing his dish.
“I feel like I’ve had a weight lifted right off my shoulders, if they like it I’ll be over the moon.”
The guest judges loved the “flavour going through”, and their only criticism was the custard as it was a “bit thin”.
Meanwhile, Kate said her steak, chips and portobello mushroom main was “not going to plan at all”.
Kate told the judges: “This is the most disastrous one I have done so far.”
The judges were a little concerned, with one saying their steak was a little bit raw.
Katie then presented the judges with her bread and butter pudding, and explained she was overthinking during the challenge and her brain “got muddled”.
Guest judge Vicky tried the bread and butter pudding and said: “Woah, there’s so much booze in here. I like a drink as much as anybody, but woah there’s so much in here.”
Unfortunately, this meant Katie did not get through to the semi-final alongside Joe and Dion, who both amazed the judges.
Celebrity Masterchef airs on BBC One at 9pm on Fridays.
