LOVE Island's Brad McClelland has reunited with his beloved Nan in his hometown after he quit show so Lucinda Strafford could stay.

The labourer returned to his home in Amble, Northumberland, where he was snapped cosying up with his grandparent in a sweet Instagram post.

Brad, 26, smiled from ear to ear as he crouched down to put an arm around nana Joyce, 76, who sat in a garden chair in the sunshine.

The reality star has lived with his nanny since he was four years old when he was taken in by her after a fire destroyed his family home.

"Well I’m back and reunited with me Nana," he captioned the post, in which he could be seen wearing a Nike sports top, shorts and trainers.

Joyce sat in a cream top, black jogging bottoms, grey fluffy socks and slippers as she looked towards the camera with a smile.

Brad followed up with an Instagram stories post of his nana, in which she sent her love to the remaining islanders in the Majorcan villa.

"Good luck to all the islanders in there," she could be heard saying as she teared up and got emotional about Brad's early return home.

Brad captioned the video: "Me Nana wishes you all good luck and she'll still be supporting yous all along the way. She got a little emotional so I presume she's just as attached to yous as I was."

Earlier this week, Brad volunteered to leave the villa to allow partner Lucinda, 21, to stay a little longer after they were voted least compatible by the public.

He insisted that she stayed on the show rather than leave with him – but in his exit interview confessed he regretted saying that.

Brad explained: "On the night, it was one of them situations where, I didn’t want her to leave [with me]. The way we had a connection, it would be really nice to take what we had and continue it on the outside.

"I woke up this morning and I wish we had left together. I want to see where that could have went. Not being able to speak to Cind, or ask her where she’s at, I want to know how she’s woke up this morning."

The hunk went on: "I’m kind of hoping she doesn’t find love in there, because maybe we can carry on from where we left off."

Brad added that he will be "keeping an eye" on how Lucinda's Love Island journey continues, and he'll be "straight in her DMs" if she leaves single.

Sharing his shock at being voted least compatible couple by viewers, the ex Islander shared: "Me and Cind were faultless. Everyone was commenting on how happy I looked, how happy Cinds was.

"Cinds was telling me how happy she was with me and vice versa. Everyone could notice it. I think if you were to ask the Islanders in there, who is the most compatible couple in there, me and Cind would have been right up there."

And he reckons the show's two friendship couples – Hugo and Sharon, and Kaz and Aaron – should have actually been at the bottom.

Brad was one of the original boys for the 2021 series of Love Island, and initially coupled up with Faye.

However, his head was turned by Chloe – and when she chose a friendship couple with Hugo instead of a relationship with him at a recoupling ceremony, he was left having to graft newcomer Rachel to keep his spot in the villa.

Brad's efforts paid off and Chuggs got dumped from the show instead – but he left Rachel in tears when his head was turned by new arrival Lucinda just days later.

Fans have predicted that Brad will make a comeback in a shock return to Casa Amor after spotting a 'clue' in the show's rule book.
