Love Island fans have addressed the on-going tension between Joanna Chimonides, Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill, with many putting it down to “stirrer” Molly-Mae Hague.
The blonde haired beauty has been meddling with Joanna and Michael’s romance after he pied Amber in favour of the London recruitment consultant.
Since the explosive recoupling, Michael pulled Amber to one side and apologised for his actions, stating he “didn’t mean to hurt her”.
24 hours later, Amber received a text stating she could take an Islander on a date, much to the dismay of Michael who looked on as she waltzed out the villa with hunky Ovie Soklo.
During a chat on the day beds in last night’s episode, Molly-Mae revealed to Joanna what Michael and Amber had discussed during their honest conversation.
Molly-Mae said: “She didn’t specifically tell me what he said. She said they laughed a lot.
“It was a conversation that felt like old times.
“She would never have thought about taking him on that date if he’d categorically said ‘there’s nothing more between you and I.’
“She was this close to picking him, this close.”
Seemingly making something out of nothing, fans were quick to label the 20-year-old as the “biggest stirrer”.
One wrote: “Molly-Mae is the real culprit in all of this because she’s gone to tell Joanna a lie.”
“Molly-Mae is lying and stirring the pot. Michael basically did say he’s excited to get to know Joanna more”, a second explained.
While a third wasn’t happy with her scheming: “Molly-Mae is a f***ing demon. Throwing out scenarios that haven’t even happened to mess with Joanna.”
Judging by tonight’s teaser trailer, Molly-Mae dishes more hot gossip to a confused Joanna.
During a talk in the dressing room, she says: “He’s [Michael] is not being honest with you. Because if he had said to Amber yesterday it’s definitely done, why would Amber even contemplate taking him on a date?”
The plot thickens..
Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm
