Margot Robbie's brother is following her footsteps after landing a regular guest role in Neighbours.

Cameron Robbie, who has been passionate about acting since he was in school, has also dabbed behind the camera as well.

Margot, who played Donna Brown from 2008 until 2011 has gone onto international success and acted alongside the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio and Jared Leto.

Now her brother, Cameron, 26, will join Ramsay Street and play Jesse Porter who arrives in Erinsborough to take up a summer job at lassiters.

His storyline will involve many twist and turns, writes the Metro.

Cameron admits he is glad to know his sister will be available for advice should he need it.

He said: "Margot, like many of my industry-friends or go-to- professionals say a similar thing of work hard, train hard, be kind and grateful, and enjoy the experience.

"But it's always comforting to know that if I ever need her, she's only a phone call away."

Discussing whether he feels pressure to be following in her footsteps, he said: "I've been working in and around film sets, behind the camera, since I was in high school and I've always studied acting and film since that time as well.

"There's definitely a strong want to do well with my work and grow with my abilities.

"But no I don't place pressure on myself regarding her success, only my own expectation that I work hard, pursue what I love and make it meaningful."

Cameron's episodes will commence screening from April in the UK.

Hollywood star Margot's latest film, Dreamland, was released last year in select cinemas and Amazon Prime.

She starred in the Depression-era movie as a wounded bank robber who is found by Eugene Evans in a Texas town. The teen becomes torn between his love and the bounty on her head for her capture.

In the movie, she strips naked for a steamy shower scene with Peaky Blinders actor Finn Cole.
