Married At First Sight star Amy reveals dramatic hair transformation as she vows to make 'fresh start' after split

MARRIED At First Sight's Amy Christophers has revealed a dramatic hair transformation as she vows to make a 'fresh start' after split from 'husband'.

The reality star joked she'd gone "to the dark side" as she showed off her deep brown locks.

The former glamour girl had previously been rocking a light reddish brown look with highlights.

Amy, 35, posted the Instagram reel with the song Brunette Ambition by American rapper and singer Qveen playing in the background.

She captioned the post: "Brunette is back".

Amy told The Sun Online: "I felt like I needed a change. It's time for some fresh energy."

Explaining how she'd tackled the dye job herself, Amy added: "I don't trust anyone with my hair, I did myself throughout MAFS after teaching myself to cut and colour on YouTube.

"So I've gone darker for winter. I always feel my sexiest as a dark brunette."

She also shared a snap of herself on Instagram stories with the dye still in her hair and wrote: "Going back to the dark side".

And it's a head-turning new look for the TV favourite who MAFS viewers saw fall for her on-screen husband Joshua Christie.

But it wasn't meant to be as fans discovered earlier this month her marriage to Joshua Christie had crumbled.

The former glamour model's marriage lasted just 25 days after the cameras switched off – despite choosing to renew their vows.

Amy broke down in tears at the Reunion show as she explained Josh's "lack of effort" was the cause of their break up.

As Amy sobbed on the sofa in front of the experts matchmaker Mel Schilling questioned why Josh hadn't offered to hug his ex.

The pair then shared an awkward hug after Josh was urged to comfort her.

Commenting after the Reunion aired, Josh said: "Never change yourself for anybody and always go with your gut instinct."

Amy signed up to MAFS after a horrific year, which saw her fiancé walk out on her, losing her unborn twins and her mother's stroke.
