Jimmy King (Nick Miles) is wracked with guilt over initiating a kiss with Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley), and the struggle becomes too much in upcoming scenes, as he and Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) attempt to get their marriage back on track.

The popular couple have been at one another’s throats in recent months, following Jimmy’s involvement in Paul Ashdale’s (Reece Dinsdale) death.

The Home James haulage owner was facing a prison sentence for his actions, forcing Nicola to step up and do whatever she could to hold the family together.

Jimmy, however, gave her no credit for it, and repeatedly put her down, ostracising her from both him and their son Carl.

The nightmare came to an end last week, when Jimmy was found not guilty for his role in Paul’s death but, in spite of apologising to Nicola for the abhorrent way he’s treated her, he has struggled to fight his feelings for Mandy, who has been incredibly supportive.

Nicola and Jimmy have agreed to give their marriage another shot, and next week, they have a special date night.

The above clip, taken from Tuesday’s episode, sees the duo reminisce about the great times they’ve had together over the years, and everything seems right in the world as a result.

That is, until Nicola mentions how she’s always felt lucky to have a loyal, faithful husband in comparison to Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles), who has repeatedly fallen for the wrong men.

Jimmy’s guilt comes to the forefront once more, but will he admit that he kissed Mandy?

Or will he, as Mandy suggested last night, keep quiet in order to save his marriage?

Emmerdale airs these scenes Tuesday June 20 at 7pm on ITV.
