Phillip Schofield was unable to keep a straight face on Tuesday's This Morning as he discussed the unusual topic of "poo phobia."
Speaking on the show to LBC host Nick Ferrari and broadcaster Nicola Thorp, Phil introduced the segment by saying they had almost skipped it: “We debated on whether or not to do this today but we thought no, it’s important!”
Holly Willoughby adding: “A poll of 2000 people yesterday, 18% of people said going to the toilet was the most worrying part or returning to the office full time.”
Taking the topic seriously at first, Nicola expressed her sympathies to people that were shy about using the toilet at work while Nick was seen laughing on screen beside her.

Phillip noticed Nick laughing and said: “Nick’s face is a picture here”.
Holly asked for Nick’s opinion on the topic, with Nick passionately opening up with a speech about the tight schedule show hosts have to maintain and how limited their toilet breaks are because of it.
He said: “Holly, Phillip, you and I have talked about everything down the years, this is a first. So let me tell you, you two are hugely experienced broadcasters, you know sometimes you only get a small break.
“And if you had bacon and eggs on brown toast at seven o’clock and nature calls at eight o’clock, I’m your man. I can do it in the 2 minutes 30 news break on LBC and before the girl finishes the weather, I’m back in position.”
The passionate speech was met with tears of laughter from Phillip as Holly called Nick a “hero” and said: “I can’t believe we considered not doing this item, it’s one of my favourite parts of the show so far”.
Phillip continued to laugh with Nick as Holly confessed “we can’t follow that” before ending the segment and saying goodbye to the guests.
This Morning has a surprising tendency to turn into chaos as Monday’s episode had seen Alice Beer’s kitchen gadget exploding.
The morning chat show’s antics are so well documented that Holly and Phil even made a cameo performance on the Apple+ comedy series Ted Lasso to poke fun at themselves.
Appearing on the show to interview one of the main characters, Holly got to lovingly lampoon the strange topics sometimes discussed on This Morning as she cuts to the break with a hilarious fake story tease: "When we come back, have scientists really discovered low-fat custard that doesn’t make you sad?"
