Piers Morgan has admitted he's been forced to "eat his words" after being impressed by Good Morning Britain co-star Ranvir Singh on Strictly Come Dancing.

The 55-year-old outspoken presenter went on to say that his colleague had broken the ITV breakfast show's "curse" on the BBC dancing show.

Piers claims that Ranvir, 43, is in with a chance to win Strictly, unlike his GMB co-stars Charlotte Hawkins, Richard Arnold, Kate Garraway and Susanna Reid.

On Monday night's It Takes Two, host Zoe Ball introduced a special video message from Piers to Ranvir.

The ITV political corespondent said: "The great thing about this week is that a certain someone has had to eat his words."

Piers then appeared in a video, telling the camera: "An amazing thing has happened – Ranvir's actually really good.

"She may win. She got the highest votes!

"This is getting exciting – we finally have broken our own Strictly curse.

"Now Ranvir, bring the trophy home!"

Laughing, Ranvir said: "Love that!"

Ranvir got the highest score of the series on Saturday night with her dance partner Giovanni Pernice.

Ranvir revealed to The Mirror earlier on that she has been training so hard she often finds herself dancing in her sleep.

Detailing the arduous rehearsals she goes through with the Italian dancer, 30, she told the publication: "Your whole body feels it and you wake up with throbbing feet in the night and then you know you’ve really worked hard.

"As Giovanni keeps saying, 'If it’s not uncomfortable, it’s not right.' I’m literally moving in my sleep.

"My legs are moving in my sleep, re-enacting the whole thing over and over again. It’s muscle memory and it’s repetition.

"You have to keep repeating it."
