RuPaul announces first ever drag Christmas movie

RuPaul's new holiday film he B**ch Who Stole Christmas is set to premiere on December 2 on VH1 as part of its Naughty and Nice line-up.

It will star 20 Drag Race queens including Peppermint, Brooke Lynn Heights, Gottmik, Ginger Minj, Kylie Sonique Love, Raven and more.

Drag Race judges, Michelle Visage, Ross Matthews and Carson Kressley will also make an appearance alongside Kim Petras, Charo and Anna Maria Horsford.

The glamorous film will be produced by Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey from World of Wonder. Randy said: “There are 1,000 Christmas movies this year, but only one with drag queens. Christmas will never be the same.”

What is The B**ch Who Stole Christmas about?

The film revolves around a workaholic fashion journalist (played by Krysta Rodriguez) who is sent on an assignment by her editor (RuPaul) to a Christmas-obsessed town.

While she goes there with hopes of finding a big story, she gets caught up in the town’s winter ball competition, meeting savage housewives and heartless neighbours who want to ruin Christmas, along the way.

The film was announced as part of VH1's upcoming slate of original holiday projects produced by Drag Race minds Barbato and Fenton Bailey, with behind-the-scenes help on other titles from Eva Longoria, Jamie Foxx, Nick Cannon, and Kim Fields.

Other films set to debut as part of the package include Adventures in Christmasing starring Fields, Kel Mitchell, and Eva Marcille; Hip Hop Family Christmas featuring Keri Hilson, Ne-Yo, MC Lyte, and Redman; Let's Get Merried with Xosha Roquemore and Tahj Mowry, and Miracles Across 125th Street fronted by Cannon, Lil' Kim, Tommy Davidson, Akon, and more.
