Dan Walker showed off his dance moves on Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend and seemingly couldn’t help talking about it on BBC Breakfast. While presenting Tuesday’s instalment of the early morning news show alongside Sally Nugent, Dan joked he’s been warned not to talk about Strictly. As a result, he was scolded by his co-host Sally for getting too close to revealing some secrets about the BBC dance show.
Sally and Dan handed over to Morning Live presenters Gethin Jones and Janette Manrara, as they teased ahead to their programme.
Gethin and Janette told viewers what they could expect from Tuesday’s episode of Morning Live, revealing there’d be a Strictly theme.
Janette said: “My mission for today’s Strictly fitness is to get us all waltzing with a move inspired by Zoe Ball and Ian Waite’s first dance on Strictly back in 2005.
“Look at her go,” Jannette remarked, watching some footage of Zoe’s dance.
Gethin added: “It’s a classic. 15 years ago, that. Beautiful, beautiful Zoe Ball.
“We’ll see you at 9:15 for all of that and more,” he told viewers.
Back in the BBC Breakfast studio, Dan and Sally thanked their Morning Live colleagues for the update.
However, Dan also took the opportunity to mention his involvement in the current series of Strictly Come Dancing.
“Thank you very much, I’ll use that as a bit of inspiration for later,” Dan said.
While Sally remarked: “Looking forward to the waltz.”
“Can’t give anything away though, I’ll get in trouble. Goodbye,” Dan joked.
Sally quickly scolded her co-host for getting too close to revealing some Strictly secrets.
“Stop speaking,” she instructed Dan as he laughed it off.
More to come…
