The goal of any woman who goes on The Bachelor is ultimately to get a Neil Lane ring and to have Chris Harrison officiate their wedding, right?

Since the start of the franchise, Harrison has gone from being a regular host to somewhat of a celebrity in his own right. Bachelor Nation looks to him for guidance. He has become the ultimate symbol of love and commitment.

Normally, you would have to make it through a season of The Bachelor to have Harrison at your nuptials, but now the rules have changed. You can hire him to officiate your wedding!

Is Chris Harrison actually an ordained minister?

First things first. You probably want to know if Harrison is actually an ordained minister before you hire him for your wedding.

Well, Harrison has been ordained since 2012 hen he married two Bachelor producers Cassie Lambert and Peter Scalettar.

“They asked me in Prague this season [of The Bachelorette] when we were there if I would do it for them… I love them to death and I’ve seen then [sic] grow as a couple and I love them as a couple and as individuals,” he told People at the time. “I’m taking [officiating] very seriously. … We went over everything for the ceremony and I’m really honored. I’m honored they would ask and I’m honored they would allow me to be such a huge part of their day.”

Harrison’s officiating history

After it became known that Harrison officiates weddings, it sort of became the norm in Bachelor land.

In December 2012, he married Ashley Hebert and J.P. Rosenbaum. In 2013, he offered to marry Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici but Lowe’s father ended up marrying them as he is also ordained.

In 2015, he went on to marry Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd after they got engaged on the first season of Bachelor in Paradise. Though, later it came out that the two were never officially married in the U.S because they failed to file their paperwork.

He also married Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert, Carly Waddell and Evan Bass, and Krystal Nielson and Chris Randone of BIP. And he married Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham in Hawaii in January of this year.

He will not, however, be officiating the wedding of Bachelorette favorite Wells Adams and Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland.

“Chris Harrison will be there,” Adams told E! News of his big day. “Let’s be fair, if it weren’t for Chris and a couple of the other executive producers, I would’ve never even met Sarah. So, Harrison is an integral part of my happiness in general and I love him and now I get to hang out with him every summer, so I want him to be there.”

But Adams would rather have Harrison enjoy himself than officiate.

“I want him to just have fun and have a good time and not have to be burned by any of that stuff. He was nice enough to offer, but I wouldn’t do that,” he said. “He’s my friend, I don’t want him to have to work at my wedding. All my musician friends from Nashville offered to perform at the wedding, and I was like, ‘No! I want you to be there to celebrate with me, not to work!’”
