The Chase host Bradley Walsh gives ‘wrong answer’ as team loses thousands

Jul 16, 2019

Viewers of The Chase were left baffled as host Bradley Walsh pulled up the contestants on an answer, only for him to 'get it wrong himself'.

Stan, Jo, Azhar and Angie were looking to put some distance between them and the chaser, Shaun Wallace, when Bradley made his 'error'.

The contestants had posted a respectable score that would test Shaun, known as The Dark Destroyer.

With £20,000 on the line, there was disappointment when Shaun chased down their total with relative ease and viewers at home wondered if it would have been a different story if it wasn't for Bradley's 'error'.

The confusion was caused when he asked how many members of iconic sixties band The Monkees.

The team answered four – Davy Jones on the guitars, Micky Dolenz on the drums, and Michael Nesmith and Peter Tork on piano.

Bradley insisted this was wrong though and said the answer was actually three, prompting fans of the show to take to social media to hit out at Bradley's answer.
